Underfloor Heating / Energy Efficient And Comfortable Heating

  • Homogeneous heating system based on radiation on a large surface
  • Since there is a relatively low temperature difference between the ground and the place, it causes less air movement.
  • Reducing air movement allows for lowering comfort temperatures. Reducing the comfort temperature by 1 to 2°C saves 6% to 12% of operating costs.
  • Due to large surface screed heating, it is possible to operate the heating system at low temperatures, thus leading to lower energy consumption.
  • Allows individual temperature control on a room basis.
  • It can operate conveniently and energy efficiently with renewable system solutions such as solar energy, heat pumps.

Underfloor Heating Pipe

Fraenkische offers ff-therm multi Difustop PE-Xa and ff-therm multi Difustop PE-RT pipes for underfloor heating systems with long-term experience in the field of pipe production.

ff-therm multi Difustop PE-Xa are flexible pipes specifically suitable for heating and underfloor heating installations. They feature special anti-aging stabilizers that keep the pipes consistently soft while providing them with high thermal resistance.

ff-therm multi Difustop PE-Xa:

  • Maximum operating temperature: 95°C
  • Maximum operating pressure: 6 bar / 10 bar
  • TSE certificate number: 176416-TSE 01
  • DIN Certco certificate number: 3V308
  • Application class: 4/5
  • Oxygen barrier according to DIN 4726
  • Dimensions: 12×2, 14×2, 16×2, 16×2.2 (10 bar), 17×2, 20×2, 25×2.3 mm

Connection Types

All ff-therm multi Difustop pipes with diameters of 16×2.0 or 20×2.0 mm can be connected using FRÄNKISCHE radial press or push-fit connection techniques. However, FRÄNKISCHE pipes in sizes other than these dimensions can be connected to each other using traditional fitting connection techniques.

The FRÄNKISCHE fittings in the relevant diameters are made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) material, which has high impact resistance. PPSU is a high-performance polymer that has proven itself in the aerospace industry.

Underfloor Heating Insulation Plate

Fraenkische offers insulation plates with cork heads and screed water resistance for use in underfloor heating systems.

  • Cork head: 20 mm cork, 25 mm bottom insulation
  • Heat conductivity: 0.040 W/mK
  • Fire class: E according to EN 13501-1
  • Modulation intervals: 7.5-15-22.5-30 mm
  • FRÄNKISCHE pipe dimensions: 16×2 / 16×2.2 / 17×2 / 20×2

Underfloor Heating Collectors

Fraenkische offers two types of collectors for use in underfloor heating systems: with flow indicator and with regulation valve.

Profitherm collector with flow indicator

  • Stainless steel manifold collectors
  • 35×1.5 mm (DN 32) wide collector with high flow capacity through to its bars.
  • The flow rate for the heating circuit can be adjusted visually and is measured in liters per minute (l/min).
  • Hydronic balancing with adjustable flow indicators at each outlet on the supply bar.
  • At each outlet on the return bar, there is an M30 x 1.5 actuator core available.
  • Self-purging, filling/discharging valve; equipped with sound-insulated wall bracket.

Profitherm collector with regulation valve

  • Stainless steel manifold collectors
  • 35×1.5 mm (DN 32) wide collector with high flow capacity through to its bars.
  • The flow rate for the heating circuit can be adjusted in turns (rotations).
  • Hydronic balancing with integrated regulating valves at each outlet on the supply bar.
  • At each outlet on the return bar, there is an M30 x 1.5 actuator core available.
  • Self-purging, filling/discharging valve; equipped with sound-insulated wall bracket.

Profitherm Room Thermostat Display

The Profitherm Room Thermostat Display is a high-quality room thermostat designed to measure and adjust the desired room temperature, aiming to achieve maximum comfort. The adjustment and control of the desired room temperature are performed through a turn-and-press mechanism and a smoothly graded rotary knob.

The Profitherm Room Thermostat Display is available in two different designs: with and without a design frame, and in two different models: Standard and Control.

Two Way Zone Control Valve

In cases where temperature control is desired on a collector basis rather than room basis, it is used to mount on the collector inlet and to block or allow water flow.

Profitherm Terminal Box

To associate room thermostats with actuators mounted on the underfloor heating collector, Profitherm terminal boxes are used. These boxes are offered in two types: standard and standard plus.

Setting Set

It is used to adjust the fixed supply water temperature of the low temperature underfloor heating system connected to a high temperature heating system.

The product is designed to make a direct connection to FRÄNKISCHE 1″ stainless steel collectors with fittings.
