Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems
Gas extinguishing systems are automatic fire extinguishing systems with special design and technology. They aim for a fast and effective intervention in case of fire. These systems are generally developed for use in areas where the use of water and foam is risky and sensitive equipment. Gas extinguishing systems are usually integrated with automatic fire detection systems. When fire detection sensors detect a fire, the system is automatically activated, gas is released and the fire is quickly brought under control.
Extinguishing agents used in gas extinguishing systems;
- Chemical gases: HFC-227ea (FM-200), FK-5-1-12 (Novec1230)
- Inert gases: IG-01 (Argon), IG-100 (Nitrogen), IG-55 (Argonite), IG-541 (Inergen)
- CO2 (carbon dioxide)
