Deluge Alarm Systems
Product Types
Deluge systems are a type of sprinkler system that is specifically used in high-risk areas. They have water in the pipes at all times and operate by opening the sprinkler heads before a fire is detected to allow water to be sprayed onto the fire area.
Working Principle:
- Water Pressure: The pre-action alarm valve is installed on the main pipe of the wet pipe system.
- Sprinkler Activation: In the event of a fire, the sprinklers activate and allow water to flow from the pipes.
- Water Flow: The water flow pushes the diaphragm of the pre-action alarm valve, activating the alarm signal.
- Alarm Activation: The alarm signal activates electrical and mechanical alarms.
- Electrical Alarm: The electrical alarm activates alarm devices such as sirens and strobes.
- Mechanical Alarm: The mechanical alarm activates audible alarm devices such as gongs or bells.
- Water Supply: Water is continuously supplied to the sprinklers for the firefighting operation.
