Fike Blue is the first third-party-tested, patented solution proven to both suppress lithium battery fires and stop cascading thermal runaway.

With a heat capacity of over 400°C, Fike Blue absorbs the intense exothermic heat caused by thermal runaway without deteriorating.

FIKE Blue uses much less liquid than the water required by sprinklers and especially firefighters, resulting in much less liquid runoff into the environment.

There are hundreds or even thousands of lithium-ion cells inside a lithium-ion battery, and any one of them can experience an unpredictable event called “thermal runaway.” It can cause the battery to reach temperatures potentially exceeding 1000°C, release flammable gases, emit fumes that are very harmful to human health, and catch fire. If not treated in a timely manner, the danger will continue to spread throughout the battery module and to adjacent modules, often resulting in a large-scale fire or explosion.

When a heat or gas anomaly is detected with FIKE Blue, it activates the release panel cylinder, allowing Fike Blue to flow through the pipeline.

Fike Blue will be discharged by opening the nozzle only in the module where the fire is located.

Fike Blue cools overheated cells.

The temperatures of all cells decrease significantly over several minutes until the event and any chance of re-ignition are over.
