Wet Alarm Systems
Product Types
Wet pipe systems are the most common type of sprinkler system. They have water in the pipes at all times and operate by opening sprinkler heads to spray water onto the fire area when a fire is detected.
Working Principle:
- Water Pressure: In wet pipe sprinkler systems, the pipes are always kept full of pressurized water.
- Sprinkler Activation: In the event of a fire, the sprinklers will activate and allow water to flow from the pipes.
- Water Flow: The water flow opens the wet alarm valve.
- Alarm Activation: The opening of the main valve sends a signal that activates electrical and mechanical alarms.
- Electrical Alarm: The electrical alarm activates alarm devices such as sirens and strobes.
- Mechanical Alarm: The mechanical alarm activates audible alarm devices such as gongs or bells.
- Water Supply: Water is continuously supplied to the sprinklers for the firefighting operation.
